Eligibility

All students who apply for a department scholarship must be a declared environmental studies major with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Some scholarships have additional eligibility requirements [listed below].

For rising sophomores

• Environmental Studies Scholarship - Awarded to students with unmet financial need
• Friends of the Earth Garden Club Scholarship - Awarded to students with unmet financial need
• Southern Appalachian Mountains Initiative Scholarship [SAMI]
  • Must be permanent resident of NC, SC, GA, VA, WV, AL, TN, or KY
  • Must plan an internship or research project related to air quality
